Local supermarket had bone in butts for $0.69/lb. I bought all they had! Buddy is doing a charity smoke for the local volunteer rescue squad on Saturday so he got 5 of them….

Wake up dude. Pig is the unhealthiest meat you can eat.

I was gonna say I hate ppl like you hoggin it all up (pun intended) then I saw it’s for a charity event so you’re forgiven

  6. Nice find – I avoid putting food in the “poopy diaper seat” though

I hope they have that deal on the peninsula too! I’m gonna check it out!

Haven’t seen $.69# in quota some time. Once a year we get $.89# untrimmed twin packs.

What super market chain? Lowest i have found recently was just under 2 bucks at my local piggly wiggly.

Yeah…. But it’s Smithfield. I’m not a fan of their meats.

Ok, but, the rest of your cart has plenty of room …

My local place does .99lb sale about every other month. This month the sale was $1.29. I don’t think I’ll see under a dollar ever again…

I felt guilty about the $1.88lb I paid for them today. Nicely done…

I’ll usually do this once or twice a year when Kroger is running a buy one get one deal on them. I’ve got a dozen in my freezer right now.

  16. I’ll show up with homemade chips and guac if you invite?

Get a meat grinder. Cut into cubes, grind once, add a bit of spices, grind again, wrap tightly in wax paper. Remember to wash you hands first, start cold, and add some salt with your spices. You now have homemade sausage for .69/lb that tastes way better than store bought stuff and will freeze for at least a year.

This is exactly why we can’t have nice things. JERK!
